The community of Greeley, Newfoundland and Labrador is reflecting on the heartbreaking death of Aimee Power Greeley, who passed away at the age of 41 after a battle with stage 4 cervical cancer that had spread to her liver. According to her mother, Andrea Power, Aimee died peacefully in the early hours of the morning while surrounded by her closest family and friends. News of her passing has deeply affected those who knew her personally as well as the many people whose lives she touched through her work and public presence.
Aimee Power Greeley was widely known for her time as Miss Newfoundland and Labrador 2006–2007, a role in which she became a respected and admired figure within the pageant community. Beyond the crown, she built a life centered on compassion, intelligence, and service. She worked professionally as a mental health and addictions therapist, dedicating her career to helping others through difficult moments and supporting people on their path toward healing.
Outside of her professional life, Aimee was known for her adventurous spirit and passion for travel. Together with her husband, Justin Greeley, she explored the world and proudly visited all seven continents, embracing different cultures, foods, and wildlife along the way. Following the loss of Justin in 2024, Aimee continued to honor his legacy through charitable work connected to Justin’s Musical Bridge, a program that helped provide musical opportunities to children who otherwise might not have had access to them.
